Jewish Children's Regional Service

The Jewish Children's Regional Service is a social service agency and charitable fund that supports low-income and dependent Jewish youth who live across a wide expanse of the Southern United States.  At 153 years-old, it is both the oldest Jewish children's agency in the US, as well as the only regional Jewish children's agency in the country.  When a family can document "financial need," a  typical young aid recipient  may receive funding for a combination of special needs, for a camp experience, or perhaps even for college aid.
Many of those funded  live in single-parent households, or are being reared by family members other than their parents. Annually, the agency funds over 600 Jewish youth and assists hundreds of others through various case management  services, or through a number of support groups. Over 95% of the agency's income is derived from monetary donations and grants, or is derived from the annual income generated when a family establishes a scholarship fund.
